Hello
I'm Jeniffer McMackin, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for over eleven years in various settings, including community mental health, non profit organizations, inpatient psychological services, group practice, education, and also my own private practice. I am passionate about bringing hope and healing to individuals and community. I have a particular interest and specialty in helping survivors of trauma. I hope that we can have a chance to connect soon!
My Why
Often times we can find ourselves feeling frustrated, overwhelmed, and even alone. These feelings can come from a variety of areas. Sometimes it can be that we are seeking to create or having difficulty in maintaining what feels like a deep connections in relationships with others, it also can be that we have unresolved trauma. No matter the reason, I believe therapy is a place where you can find a supportive environment for your journey, a space that allows for you to seek out the insight and a path for the growth that you may be searching for.
Your experience in therapy should be one that feels safe and nurturing while providing you the chance to grow and heal through self-discovery. Often we already have the tools that we need, we just need a safe space to process them. Therapy is a process in which enhancing and building upon your strengths can allow you the freedom to live life more fully with purpose and meaning.
I have experience working with a variety of clients and presenting issues. I feel passionate about helping others and would love the opportunity to join with you in your journey of discovery and healing. I encourage you to call me if you would like to work together.
